Just got back from an evening of bank fishing, caught a beautiful 7lb 9oz bass. I have been trying to get that one from under a stump for quite a few days now. 5" senko has caught 5 fish over 5lbs in the last 4 weeks in that same spot. I love fishing in the fall! I guess I will continue to leave the camera at home, it seems to bring me better luck. DJD

I totally forgot about that lake. Is the construction done? I know they were doing something to the dam a while ago. How's the water quality and level?
Dam repair was completed in November 05 and lake was at normal pool levels all summer. Fishing was alittle off this year,but fish may have relocated to the thousands of acres of new grass that has sprung up. DJD

Give it this winter and maybe next of normal draw downs and that grass will be gone. I for one wish it would stay.
I talked to a fellow out there the other day who mentioned that the year following the drought, when all that new grass had sprung up, he never had better fishing at
Fern Ridge. I noticed your boat at a local marina, does this mean you are getting a new one?

7lbs 9oz. is really big, way to go.
Bassbuster, what is your price range. I saw an ad at 2 bros tackle shop for a zx185 for 13.5 that looks real nice. Thanks SF, I have a colleage in hillsboro I have been bugging to come down and fish with me, I think now he is a lot more interested!
