My wife took a pregnancy test this morning and the darnedest thing happened...a second line showed up. It must be a malfunction, as this has never happened before.
More news as the developments unfold, and more confirmation has been received. Could just be a false alarm, so we dont want to get our hopes up.....but.....it certainly looks interesting.

Huh...I dont get it. A second test this afternoon did the same thing. Must be broken.
Our only fear at this point...are we doing it too soon? Will these things show false positives, or would they only possibly show you a false negative?!?
Call is going in to the doctor in the morning...we'll see where this goes before we get too excited. Oh who am I kidding...

The tests can have a false negative but not a false positive (so say the "experts"). Yehaw, all the fingers and toes are crossed.

Woo Hoo! Be glad you're not a salmon! You'd be on your last legs by now! Word of warning: the Down's Syndrome tests the doctors give DO give false positives. Three of our kids had a false positive on those things, and I've known others who got all worried unnecessarily from them as well. If you get a positive, take it with a big grain of salt. We declined it for our last two.
Due date? Will you post ultrasound pics here? We have a very embarrassing ultrasound pic of our oldest that we're saving for when he starts to bring girls home.
Just wait till you feel the little squirt doing cartwheels in there, and starting to get active when your voice is heard when you get home from work! It's awesome! Congratulations, and best wishes for a good delivery.

Jeff, this is a fun time, nerve racking but fun. My wife and I will keep our fingers crossed the potzki's egg plants in the gravel bed. We had contractions all night but I decided to let her sleep all night. she needs the energy. Tomorrow is the big day, I can't beleive it, tomorrow I'll be a dad! I hope you're in my shoes in 9 months!
Very best of luck!

I agree with the test thing. Use it for information, nothing else. They'll freak you out for the entire 9 months if you let 'em.
Trust God, not Ultrasound. I have actually found that God has a much clearer definition to his plans for my future than even those crisp photos from the spaceship, errrrr, ultrasound.

It also means that in approximately nine months you will be suffering from sleep deprivation, perpetual silly grin and will wear out a wallet or two pulling it out to show pictures to anyone that will look!!
Congratulations!!

CT, I think the same thing (with the two lines) happened with my wife as well. All turned out fine. Maybe it means shes VERY pregnant!!
I can vouch that it doen't mean twins though!!

My child, according to babycenter.com, is currently the size of a lentil. My wife tells me that is a bean....so, being from Texas, I am now referring to my kid as "Pinto".
