I can't remember my life any better than when I earnestly started each morning with a bible study.

I was thinking it would be fun and good for us, if we started an early morning very short chat study. We could use the chat room, get together, and follow some bible study book that we could all buy.
If anyone has any suggestions on a good one, please post it here.

If anyone knows a good leader, too, post it here, or rise up!

Personally, I like Bible Studies that relate to every day life, more than the historical aspect of it. I get bored when it is all history. I need application.

I want it to be short, so that we don't feel bad getting on with our day. Say, 15 minutes of prayer, a short lesson, and a great start to our day.

Anyone interested or have suggestions?
I will be gone for a week, but I'd LOVE to get this going.

I may be interested depending on the time of the chat and the study that was chosen.

If I were to remember what day then I would be there.

Also Jenny about the taki-too Tim Albus one of the men still missing, I was good friends with him along wioth my father he was are fishing partner ever sence I got started when I was 5. I know now that he died for a reson. His 18 almost 19yr old son was to go with him and the boat, but at the last min. he backed out becasue he wasn't all that happy with his father. Timothy jr has led a life of quick-sand that was sucking him down. Because of his fathers death he has exepted god into his life on monday. This I think has saved him from what was to happen if he were to continue. The bible says in gods words(not exact but from memory) that we need not to weep over the death of another friend or family but instead rejoice for the his is to go somewhere better.....

Hop this helps ya out Jenny, John

P.S. The other man missing was also a christian and he too is in heaven.....God bless

I'd be interested in participating, but might find it difficult or impossible. It would depend on the time frame

With a name like Grantspastor, I think there may be a leader.

I'd be interested as well. Probably wouldn't make it all the time but would log on whenever possible. Cool idea!

If your going for application, how about James? Inspiration, Psalms? Mix/John?

6:00 A.m. here. One scripture. First one in goes with it. I'm not big on studies or books. The Bible seems to have what we need to apply.

Scripture for tomoorow is Jude 20 NIV," But you dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit."

That's it. Ask for the Spirit and pass on God's gifts.

Pitts, thanks... I needed that!

I tend to need direction.. I open the bible and go, "Uh, where? what? which?"

I like your scripture suggestion, and I'm going with it!

I don't think we have set a time.
Don't think many people want to do it?
I dunno!

Though I would only be a spectator, Id love to sit in. I vote for a Sunday evening. Close out the week with a little enlightenment, and spritually refresh for the week ahead.

Jen,

I don't know if I can commit to always being involved in a specified chat time but I will when I can. A good place to start may be in some kind of study. May I suggest something like "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. I just started it last week and its incredible. I think it would be a natural for this kind of study because it has 3 items at the end of each daily chapter and its easily obtiained at most bookstores. These things are present at the end of each CHPT. 1. Point to ponder 2. A Verse 3.A Question To consider Maybe choose one question or point per week ? Just a Thought ?

On may 13, 1958 my Great Uncle gave this verse to my Uncle in his new Bible. Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed , for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

--Blessings on Independence Day.

Here's a stat from Focus On The Family Publishing I thought would be interesting for those out there. I used it in a speech for Mens Ministries last week.
---------------
Did you know if a child is the first person in a household to become a Christian, there is a 3.5 percent probability everyone else in the household will follow?

If the mother is the first to become a Christian there is a 17 percent probability everyone else in the household will follow.

But, if the father is first, there is a 93 percent probability everyone else in the household will follow.
--------------

Men, we need you.

Do you know the location of the scripture that begins, "have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous..."?
