Dad is going through some heart problems and is hospitalized here in Longview for the past 4 days. Tomorrow he is going to have the dye test to determine where and to what extent the problem is. I guess he will probably be shipped to St. Vincents for surgery sometime this week.
We didn't have a lot of interaction when I was a teenager due to differences in opinion. When I graduated from College he bought a motorcycle so we had something to do. A couple of years ago he had throat cancer surgery so he sold the bike. I bought him a fishing license a few years back and so now he has bought a boat and tons of gear. He has recently caught his first keeper sturgeon, springer, and the first coho and steelhead he hasn't caught for over 25 years. graemlins/applause.gif
I would appreciate your prayers because I don't feel ready to lose my fishing companion which I've just reecently gotten back. I don't think Dad is a believer but my family and I have been praying for him. Thanks for yours.

Hey Earl, kinda got the Idea you might be a Christian by some of your emails you sent to me. Wow, what a trip!

I have been drawn to get back to where I was once at, but haven't been able to do it yet.

Stop by Brad's where you met me that day and my brother is an honest to goodness Christian and will pray with you and so is Brad his boss and my friend. Your friend also and make yourself welcome to stop by there or Bob's anytime to talk to Brad.

Thanks Dan, I was wondering about you due to the name of your business.

Update on Dad, he requires quadruple bypass surgery which will happen either Mon or Tues next week. I'm taking a short leave of absence drom work to spend time with my family. Your prayers are appreciated and most welcome at this time.

Dan, remember God is always there, you can leave him but he doesn't leave you. I found that out after a 20 year 'leave' while diving into the bottle pretty heavy. I'm so thankful that I found my way 'home' to a very gracious and loving God.
Later, Earl

Thanks Earl.

That has troubled me at times.

I wish the best for your dad. Glad to see you two have been drawn together in recent years.
I will send this URL to Brad and Duane.

I will pray for your dad. I sort of know how he is feeling haveing heart problems. I have just recently developed some sort of heart problem, the doctors are still trying to find what it is.
I am doing my best at turning it over to God and not to worry, but it is hard not to worry. I am so glad that you have been able to establish a friend ship agian with your father and doing things together.
My prayers are with you and your dad.

Hey Earl,

I hope everything is going alright with your dad. Even if you never get along with your dad, they are still irreplaceable. I know ya love him cause you talked an awful lot about him when we were fishing a month or so ago. I will be thinking about you guys.
