View Full Version : An incredible book!
Curious at to how many of you have read; "Wild at Heart" I am 3/4 through and it has sincerely made me a stronger man, a better husband and a far better dad...WOW! I guess what it says is what I have believed for years and that is why it has been such an encouragement.

Who is the author? What is it about?
Loren
Talked with Jim tonight, the book is written by John Eldridge. I have seen him in person and he is awesome! He has written other books and the last one I read was called the Sacred Romance. Great books on the insight of men and their role within churches and themselves. Highly recommend this reading.

I've got two chapters left in it and will second Jim's statement, it's a great book. Another one I'd recomend along the same lines is Tender Warrior by Stu Webber.

I was given this book by my father-in-law for Christmas 2001. I didn't read it or understand the importance of this book at the time. Last summer, I coached 6 grade kids at a camp that my Father in Law runs. It was a very spritual week (No TV, WORK, or any thing else). Any way a good friend of mine came to the camp to cook hot dogs one night and we get to talking. He tells me about the book. I didn't realize I had it (What a shame).
My birthday was during that week at camp and my friend gave me the book as a gift a few days after I returned for my B-day. I started reading it immediately and my wife said "you already have that book". Needless to say, I felt ridiculous and ashamed.
The book is amazing and is a great book for any man, especially me.

"Wild at Heart" IMHO is one of the best book's I've ever read. Eldridge writes about reality. I really felt like he was talking directly to me. That's what I find so challenging and encouraging. If you haven't read it by all means do so !!
