21' NW Jet 212 hamilton twin stick...Ran my boat still lashed down to the trailer at normal launching depth to check performance after a tune-up. As I raised RPM (in as close to a neutral gate as possible) to about 2000 the shifter moved all by itself very rapidly into reverse. I tried this several times and had the same results. Normal or not ? If it is normal what causes it? Secondly my shifter seems to creep toward the neutral position from the forward if I am on a long run. Noraml or not? Thanks for any help..Jack

Having it go from neutral to reverse at a high throttle setting is normal and is caused by the water flowing into the bucket which forces it down into reverse. If it is trying to go into neutral when under way it probably isn't adjusted correctly.
