61 evinrude ignition

I recently was given a 61 5.5 evinrude that has been started in a few years (or maybe even decades). I assume that it will need to new points and coils, but in talking with a coworker they said they had converted an older outboard to electronic ignition with a refit kit. Has anyone heard of such a thing for this motor?
