Overhaul ?????

My 40 HP Suzuki has loud knock. I had it in the shop for a whole winter. They did a leak down test etc. etc.

Considering how much I depend on it in the Ocean I am ready to buy a new motor. However: Short shaft motors and Tiller handle motors aren't easy to come buy so I am thinking why not have it overhauled ?

Any suggestions on where to go to have a total rebuild ? \

you can a new powerhead cheaper than doing a overhaul pm me for a number

Replace the powerhead, IMHO. Why mess with all the re-rigging and other issues. Good luck.
