Wooden Motor Mount ?

I want to put wider motor mount boards on my Smokercraft 12 foot car topper boat and am wondering what kind of wood to use and where to get it. I want to mount my Min Kota beside my current gas motor. My boat is a 1973 so whatever is on there now is good stuff. Thanks much.

I would suggest marine plywood. You can cut it to fit and use the tickness you need to do the job. Varnish or paint it to make it last.
