Whats everyone using? I just had my motor serviced ($100.00 was for labor!). Looked in my manual and I dont have to do much more than change the oil for the next 150 hrs. Service guy said any good quality motor oil will work. Would like to know what everyone is using and their experiences.

Depends on your Outboard, I use the same make as the motor... :twocents:

My Yamaha dealer uses Napa oil. I use Chevron Supreme in my F150 and T8. When I get a few more hours on my motors I'll be switching to Mobil 1.

Any old name or store brand oil will work just fine. Buy the recommended weight.

I just replaced my '03 90 2-stroke Merc with an '06 115 4-stroke Merc. The recommended new motor oil is a Merc synthetic blend (25w-40).

While I was having the new motor installed, they serviced my 9.9 4-stroke kicker and put the synthetic in that too..
