I have an alarm going off on my 90 2st pump when the key is on, and also when running.I guess it is the oil low alarm for the oil injection. (its half full) Is there a way I can check to make sure the oil injection is working and the disconnect the alarm until I can get it to the shop.

The wires coming off the bottom of the oil tank go to a module. If you disconnect the wires going to the module the horn should stop. Keep in mind if it overheats or runs out of oil you will not know it. If you think the oil system is not functioning you should mix your gas at 50:1. The warning system only monitors oil level and overheat. There is no sensor for oil pump function.
Maybe try with the motor running disconecting to see if the alarm stops, also chech the temp sensor, i believe this is a 3 cylinder look between the spark plugs for the censor pull the rubber cap off a see if there is any corrison inside the hole or on the censor, clean the bottom of the hole where the censor makes contact, some one else might know, i know on the mercs there are two different audiable alarms call a dealer to see which one it is, hope this helps Doug
