Many of you will recall, about a month ago, I last updated this board re Wayne's chemo and radiation to reduce his cancerous lung tumor (those posts were among those lost). Well, everything has gone just great for him. He had a very minimum of nausea. He lost some weight but was able to gain it back. He's strong and feels well. The tumor has shrunk by 1/3 and tomorrow (Monday) morning at about 7 am, they're going in to remove it.

Eventhough every report has been good and nobody expects anything but a full and fairly uneventful course from here on out, anytime one "goes under the knife" there is risk. I'd just ask, one more time, for your brief prayers and good thoughts for my buddy, Wayne, as he enters this (hopefully) last phase.

Thanks! Don

Don,
Will continue including Wayne on my prayer list-- That is good news that he had minimal problems-- Our God is a God of mercy, grace and power--

He's out of surgery . . . 'got to see him with his family in the ICU this afternoon. . . the doc says that the chemo killed all of the cancer cells (so it appears, but complete tests will be run on everything removed). They just took the top lobe of the left lung and everything looks very good. He's very strong and healthy. The doc had assured him that his lungs were in good-enough condition that, even if he had to loose the entire left lung, he would suffer only minimal restrictions. I'm pretty sure he's now a confirmed non-smoker and, he should be good to go for many more years. He ought to be home within five days. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers!!!!!!! Don

He's been home for several days now and is doing great! All of the tissues that were removed were cancer free and there were no live cancer cells left in the tumor . . . . Thanks again for all of your good thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don

While posting an update to the thread re my Brother, Chris, I realized maybe I should "close-out" this one with a final update as well.

A couple of months back, Wayne passed the five-year mark and got a clear bill of health from his doc.

This one's a little old but, nevertheless, thanks to all of you for your paryers and concern. Don

[Oh yes, and that original thread on Wayne that was lost - - it "came back"
