Father,
Thank you for this day, where the birds sing well into the dusk, and before the sun rises in the morning.
Direct me, when the skies are cloudy and grey, away from the draw of the computer screen, and to the kitchen table window, where I can read your word, and thank you for the love, and everything that surrounds my family.
Help me, Father, to see the good in the internet, and steer clear of the bad.
Help me to try and promote good, rather than evil.
Be with me as I try and steer people away from enjoying the drama that happens when there is a disagreement on ifish. Guide me as try to love them for the person that you created, and that you love so dearly. Stop me from vengeance, and lead me to forgiveness.
I am far from perfect, Lord, and find myself getting deeper into personal conflicts than is my business or right. Help me to use your name to bring peace.
At times, I find myself rejoicing at things I shouldn't, and contributing to causes that don't celebrate your name.
At these times, I know you are closer to me than ever.
Lord, I feel a responsibility with my business to be an example. Sometimes I feel far from able, far from successful.
Help me to smile, to spread joy, to be friendly, especially to those that challenge my patience.
As I walk through my day, let the song, "They will know we are Christians by our love" play over and over in my head.
Thank you, Father, for giving me a reason to smile and be joyful.
Thank you for a reason to love.
Be with me today, as I get a root canal. You know how dentists scare me! Yikes!
Amen

Jen-
Thank you for the blessing of sharing that prayer-- it touches on things that we all try to deal with-

May God continue to bless your ministry--

Jennie, Heres a prayer i keep in my work cube to remind me of why I need him in my life;
Dear God,
So far today God I've done all right. I havent gossiped. havent lost my temper, havent been greedy, grumpy nasty, selfish, or overindulgent. I'm really glad about that.
In a few minutes,God I'm going to get out of bed graemlins/eek13.gif and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help. Thank you form all the help you can offer. Amen
Seek him first and all things will be added unto you.

Jennie,
I've been sitting and watching, being blessed that others were touched as I was. Wondering if others will see the width and the bredth of those simple statements. How we as a country have either said ok to the direction we are moving as a society or said ok by doing nothing.
I tremble at the hardened hearts that are out there; but am eased at knowing God offers to share His love and truth to all who seek Him.
That being said....
I admire your couarge to move the post to the main board and your wisdom to move it back. At least those who complain know where we stand. I also see stength and charachter in the prayer you posted ...... how about moving it, for all to read and benefit from?
God Bless!
