Anybody know how Hosmer, Davis, East, Lava, or any of the other lakes are fishing this time of year? We are headed over to Sunriver for 5 nights and Friday for a mostly fishing trip. I was thinking of hitting East for the kokes/trout, and Davis for the bass w/ the fly rod. What do you guys think?

East evenings for browns, fly action anytime. Paulina first and last light for browns, kokes on both lakes mornings and evenings. Brown fishing will pick up as the weather gets colder.

Can't make it over there right now because of work schedule but a lot of people do really well for kokes at East Lake in August. Both trolling and jigging.
Some of the fish are starting to turn so you may have to be careful on what you keep.

Summer fishing is tough, you have to go deep. Did I ever learn a good leason this week about summer fishing. Controlled Depth Fishing (downriggers) this is the summer fix for all Central Oregon Lakes..Thanks again to fish-on-bend.
