In Ezekiel 47 the prophet Ezekiel is taken in a vision for a tour. I'm not sure if this is to be taken literaly or if there's another meaning to it but in Exekiel 47:8-10 it talkes about the river that flowes out from under the thrown of God.

It says, "This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Sea. When it empties into the Sea the water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, becuase this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh: so where the river flows everything will live. Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds-like the fish of the Great Sea."

I don't know but it sounds nice. But then again if we have a choice of being in the presence of the Lord or fishing His Glory would be better.

The best would be fishing in his presence. He is the master angler he teaches us to be fishers of men. I bet he knows what color corkie to use hehe.

Great Passage Dave,
It sounds like we're getting a trial run here on earth for that great day when we meet up with him. It never ceases to amaze me with the wonderful creation he has provided us. And If this is great, Isn't it suppose to be how many times better in heaven?

Good passage David

This part of Ezekiel occurs after the fall of Jerusalem and God is giving Ezekiel visions of a new Jerusalem.

What a glorious vision to recieve. After years of war God is bringing back his creation with a vivid description of beauty, peace and rebirth to his beloved people.

God keeps his promises and when I get to heaven I will look forward to the glorious sights of purity. It's hard to imagine 60lb springers but I bet they are there

Great post David, my Brother Inlaw approached me many years ago with a question. It went like this, what do you like to do best? I answered go fishing, hunting. He said now think of a place where you could do thouse things day in and day out and the joy you found in them was a 1000 times what you experience now. That sounds good to me, where would this be I asked, he went on to tell me about God in Heaven and Jesus Christ his only begotten Son. He continued to tell me that when you are in Heaven that is where you can expreience the 1000 fold of everything. That great day the LORD called me, I hit the ground and prayed the sinners prayer sence then I have realised that the fishing and hunting in Heaven in not literal
but the feeling and enjoyment will be matched beyond what we could ever emagine and this will be through constant worship of God. What a wonderful thing to look forward to, thank you Lord Jesus    .
