This weeks Scripture

When Jesus read from the book of Isaiah in the temple he quoted from Isaiah 61

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, becasue the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

So if you're hearting, addicted or depressed He's there for you.

And if you're Christian, this is the way to be a light to others, to show the love of Jesus.

Good choice of scripture as many of these attributes point towards the Love and Grace of God who is our Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree Dave that is a good scripture. There is so much sorrow and pain in is good to now that eventually it will end.

I think that is one of the reasons I like to fish, it helps me to forget about all of lifes troubles.
