I am thankful for a very simple thing really. Good buddies to fish with!!! Prayer is really cool but don't forget the praise part too.

Being a Christian also entitles you to give praise to the Lord. Praise for little and big things. Answers to prayer that you have been waiting for. support from others and so on.

God wants both our prayer and praise. So how about it. What are you thankful for?

Gosh ... when I just saw this and thought about it for a minute it was "GOD" sending his son down to die for me and my sins. When I think about this it's just awesome ... almost incomprehensible to my manner of thinking. Second for my wife of 28+ years and two awesome kids. Next would be my christian brothers and sisters and the joy we have on and off the water. The list goes on and on but I would have to include the love he has given me for the outdoors and the fish I pursue. Tight Lines.

Wow two of the most important things are number one God and the Gift of his son. And secondly my wife and stepson There is nothing like the laughter of my stepson to make a stressful day disappear. I would have to also say my Father(DAB) and mother in law I have never know what it was like to have a dad till i met him. Thanks Don

I am Thankful to God for giving his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to the human race as a sacrifice for the sinful, evil, self-centered and disobedient ways of man and for the death of what man has determined to be a better life ignoring what has been given to each who is faithful to the one who created without doubt, the universe.

I am also Thankful to the Lord for blessing me with a wonderful wife and children who know God and for the many paths He brings me too, too Glorify and proclaim His word.

Grace and Peace

I am always thankful for the way the Lord cares for my family and my self. I'm glad that he cares for his people and hears our prayers. Some times I pray and after I think to myself, that was a selfish prayer. I'm sure glad God knows what is best for me. This is something I trust with my heart and sole.

This is my first posting. What a blessing to know there are "Brothers and Sisters" on the rivers and mountains praising His Creation.

Welcome Duckcall and fellow New Hope bro. You know my pop well and he speaks very highly of you.

I want to thank those of you who shared the positives of your salvation here on ifish. Takes a lot of courage to share your highs and lows. Just know that there are a lot of nice folks here and that they care for you. Even those that do not profess their love for Christ care.

Lets see, today I am thankful for my loving wife. She is a great mom to my 3 kids and a good daughter to her mother. Most of all she is very patient with me. Certainly the wife of a small business owner and fisherman has to be patient. I am a lucky man.

I am also thankful that God has blessed my business so far this year. What a recovery from those down months in Sept. and Oct.! You bet, I prayed my heart out for the work to come in. It took a little while but the answer cam in positive.

Today's last item of thanksgiving...a new sturgeon rod and reel. Thank the Good Lord for Valentines day.

I'm thankful that I'm feeling better!
Many other things--
For a hot shower
For the light that is starting our day... It's so pretty out right now!
For mornings.
For my two kids, eating cereal and talking in the living room
For the forest and the trees that tower around me.
For my car, that although very old, seems to get me where I need to go... To the doc this morning with Andrew...
For the color of the Kilchis river, blue, green, beautiful!
For my dog Kilchis, and the happiness that is contageous in him.
I thank thee God for most this amazing day.
For the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky, and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

thank you god for all of your help in giving us our 1st grand child...
last march our daughter tried to delivere our 1st grand child 5 months early...after being rushed to the hospital the doctors managed to stop the deliverey and stabilized her...after about 5 hours the doctor kicked us all out of the room saying that he needed to talk to them alone...well i went to get some coffee and there we're 2 ladys selling dafodills so i bought some not blossomed yet and headed back to the room.i put them in water and put them by her bed...well the doctor did not give them very good news...saying that they could take the baby now and have about a 10%chance of making it or do surgery and hope for the best...well god helped us with our decison that day..it wasn't 10 minutes after i bought the flowers and i told my daughter to look at the flowers..they we're fully bloomed...thats god telling us to go for it i'll watch over her!!!so they went ahead with surgery and she spent the next 4 weeks in the hospital before they let her go home..with strict orders to stay flat on your back for the next 4 months...well she ended up delivering 2 weeks early to the most beautiful little girl in the world..she turned 7 months old last saturday.
thanks again god..
oh and during her stay at the hospital she was getting pretty tired of me and hubby asking how she was doing every 5 minutes so she said why don't you 2 go fishing so i can get some sleep..
so off we go to warren to fish for springers..my son-in-law has never caught a salmon before and he ended up with a 26lb springer that day..
so thanks again god for all you have done for us..

Hound,
Awesome story.
Reminds me of our daugther. When she was really little she contracted a bug out of a sand box. To make a long story short ... we took her to the hospital and the only cure they could give her, would kill her. Well ... that was the first time I ever really got on my knees and by his grace he gave her back to us and she's 28 now. Shortly after that my wife and I accepted the Lord. We knew he was around before but didn't know he was a living God and was always there in bad and in good.

Got to love those testimonials. Pretty neat how God blesses each of us in many ways.

It is easy to go to God when things are not going well or when we are down. Why is it so difficult to go to him when we are doing well? Boy, I know I certainly have this problem and it is a tough one to correct.

God desearves our praise just as much as he desires to hear our hearts desires in prayer. Our God inhabits our praise. Why? because he loves us.  That alone is worth his praise.
