This is great Jen. The board here just became that much more interesting to me. Great to interact with people who are interested with not only one, but TWO of my biggest passions. Its rare to come across that, and really a great thing about the internet to be able to converge and blend interests like this. Now, if only I could get all of you into Golf and Van Halen.....:babysteps:

I'll tell ya, I've always wanted to drag a preacher (mine or anyones!) down to the river early on a Sunday and hold worship or bible study on the river...followed by fishn' of course. I dont think anything could possibly be more spiritual for me than a worship service at sunrise on a river in the summertime.

I digress. I dig the forum a lot.

I have 5 passions #1 GOD #2 Family #3 fishing #4 hunting #5 GOLF.... The first two always stay the same ,the other three intermix --Of the 5 the first two seem to be the hardest to stay on tract with. Yes this is a great forum. Can't wait till Easter that is my rebirthday ... I am 57 years old going on 26.

Johnny, I have to agree about the beauty found at the side of the river at sunrise. However, We must keep in mind that it is also beautiful on the other six days. Before you invite you preacher, you should ask him this question. His answer will then tell you if you should ask him to move Sunday services to the river or not.
"Is it better to be on the river thinking about God? Or is it better being in church thinking about fishing? I just hope and pray that on judgement day, He has a good understanding of Rationalization.

Johnny, Thanks for your post and letting everyone know you are a believer and a real person. Golf is good but van halen....those are the old days, now it's Third Day, Sonic Flood, DC Talk, FFH, Jars of Clay and other awesome Christian groups.

If you would like to fish sometime let me know. I fish with guys that pray before we shove off the boats into the great emerald green waters full of feesh

I love to fish but love God more as He makes it possible for me to fish.

YBIC, Keith

I could be mistaken, but I do believe I was just invited to fish. FM2, I've read some posts of yours. It would be a priviledge to fish with ya, but I'm a pretty louzy fisherman. Not a bunch of experience here, but whenever you feel up to giving a lesson, let me know.
