Took the day off Friday to go steelhead fishing. We were fishing from the bank and started off on the Wilson. Water was muddy and a little high, but had on one fish for three people. Even less luck on the Kilchis and Nehalem even though the water looked good. High point of the day was seeing Moleman's passenger land a nice Chinook seconds after putting his boat in on the Kilchis. How was the rest of the day Moleman? Would have loved to drift down with you, but really couldn't leave the guys I was with. Hopefully next time.

Anyone else have any luck this weekend, especially from the bank? What technigues were working. We tried about everything with no luck.

Hey...yea I call my friend, "12 second Rob". We did manage a steelhead farther on down. There were only 4 boats and one other salmon that I know of. Did see a picture at the Guide Shop of a guy with two salmon. A 30# and a 45#! (Caught on the Kilches off the bank). i saw several salmon moving thru the tail outs and steelhead laying in little pockets real close to the banks. I made several passes but they didn't bite , or move when I floated on by. Dunno what that was all about. Lockjaw.!!!!!!!!
