I love this page and received this in the mail from sailcat.
Hey!
It would seem that one of our brethren in the fishing community could use a word of
encouragement.
Don Larson, whose website (http://www.worldstar.com/~dlarson/ , focused primarily on
sturgeon fishing) has
posted on his homepage that he's considering 'closing up shop'.
He sites the main reason as 'getting tired', but likely insufficient traffic is playing a role.
Don mentions www.ifish.net (http://www.ifish.net) (which *is* the fabulous original) as the place he's
considering sending everybody. While Jennie's
website and Bulletin Board gets voluminous traffic and will always hold the number one
spot for information
exchange (as well as a special place in our hearts), we shouldn't let any member of our
community lose faith
and quit. Don's is a valuable resource, his writing is straightforward & natural and his
irreverent sense of humor
is refreshing and blatantly incorrect politically.
He's a character and a bit of local color. How about dropping him an Email note of
encouragement? If you have
any pertinent information to share, perhaps you could post to his Message Board.
None of us knows more than all of us. Let's not lose Don Larson.
