Can you believe this luck? Was getting pumped for great steelhead season. Even had a trip planned on the Wilson for the 18th (after no fishing for 4 months) and I go and break my hand? In a cast for two months. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Please, fellow Chromers, post lots of great fishing adventures so I can at least live vicariously through you. Thanks in advance. drifter.
P.S> Any tips for one-handed fishing?

Drifter, I broke my wrist fishing on the upper Mollolla Father's Day before last with Dave. Just make him carry your gear and tail the fish you catch, because he sure isn't going to catch anything. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Dave told me about your situation, sorry to hear it. Just take extra pain pills and get out there anyway.

Tough luck timing Drifter. It will go fast though. As for tips, most guys naturally know how to work a rod one handed http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Landing a big one is a different story though. Get some help. Use plugs and diver and bait from other guy's boats. If your thumb sticks out of the cast you should be able to reel well enough? If you don't have buddies with boats, put up a note about your situation on our Fishing Forums Trade-a-Trip page. I bet you'll be into fish before ya know it. - RT

Just GO FOR IT !
There has to be a solution ... it probably involves duct tape. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Drifter:
Don't worry; in two months when you get your cast off, the brood stock will just begin their return. You will be healed in time for some great fishing!

Sorry to hear that drifter. I broke my foot while hunting this fall and I'm still hopping around. However...I suggest, Work the sympathy angle! (i.e) Ca, Ca nn, can someone p-le-a-s-e retrieve me a cold beer to soothe this pain? and "...honey, you'll just have to be the aggressive one tonight. I just can't take the chance of a re-injury by moving my body."
Personally, I may never get well. I think I'm a slow healer.
