I would like to make another trip to the coast this year. If the rivers are up. From the weather forecast it looks like rain for the next week or so. Is it raining today? Is Rags going to hit the rivers this week? This is the time of year I wished I still lived in Oregon!!! Fish on!!

I live in the Portland area and as of 9:30a.m. no rain yet. We had a slight dusting of snow last night. The snow is gone now.I hope that if we do get some rain so that we see the rivers come up! I havent seen it like this in a long time. Without some rain the fishing looks pretty sorry. If your into plunking I have heard of some steelhead being caught down on Meldrum bar in the Gladstone area. Some times thats the place to go when all the rivers are low. Alot of fish stage there getting ready to go up the Clackamas.Until you see some significant amount of rain you could try the coast just above tide water on most rivers.

Cureless1: No the Berry is frozen yet. They currently have 10" of that white stuff and still snowing. I just talked to the marina and they said the bays had a little ice but you can still launch a boat with a 4X4. I have caught some big fish there.

Haven't fished the blueberry but have had them on pancakes. Yes worms but not the pink ones. I'll have to try them next year. I think I'll try rags and some of Maries Shrimp scent also. We catch some big cuts and bows up there. The biggest I've caught was 23". Average size are about 16". A lot of fun to catch but not as exciting as that Dec 2nd steelie on the old Nestucca!!! I'll be glad to show you a good time on the Berry anytime.
