Marty,

I see on your board in your reply to RT you mentioned a few different water colors. I am a firm believer that water color plays a huge role in how the fishing is going to go. Not just visibility but the actual color. My partner Billy and I were out Saturday and the color was gin clear green. On Sunday the water was olive with good vis but not clear. The fishing was on fire on Sunday and alright on Saturday. Fished the same spots over the same fish.

Water was cooler on Sunday. Light conditions were the same. I have to say water color was the factor.

What have you experienced with water colors?

I have always found that orange works well in tea colored water.

I have found that orenge and chartruse are good colors in tea colored water. I think water color plays a role in fish migration, they move more when they feel secure. I have had great days in very off colored water as well as in very gin clear water. I just match my presentation to the condition.
