Anyone have any information on trout fishing the North Santiam below the dam? Any good spots to be aware of or anything that I should know that could prove helpful in ripping some lips? Let me know!

I have never fished it for trout but access is good so pick a park and go for a walk. You should be able to find some fish

Yeah they closed the river to keeping trout about 10 years ago so all the knuckle draggers quit fishing it and I did as well so that the trout population would come back. I've done all my Santiam trout fishing above the dam for the last 10 years and now want to move down river to explore and find new water.
