OK - I've fished recently by myself in my driftboat. Kinda turns into a real rodeo when you hook one! Anyway, my question is this: I've had more luck running plugs with at least one more person in the boat. Should I abandon the plugs and go with the diver and bait? Or does it even matter?

This is so much fun.Since I fish solo from a Cat most of the time,I have on more than one occasion had to stuff the rod between my legs as I rowed for slack water to try and drop anchor, untill you've been pulled around by a big native on a Cat you haven't fished yet http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif...finally installed a rod holder....kinda takes the excitement out of it....Os

Os, if you'd only go out and buy a real driftboat instead of using the inflatable doll, I mean tubes or ??? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif. (By the way, the water is very low, so we should go give it a try...)
you should try it with the 8' outcast. I hooked three s/h with a flyrod pulling a plug (that ought to get the juices flowing) in one day. Not only do you have the current pushing you, you have the fish pulling.
ESDave, I often pull plugs by myself. It's confidence that will get the fish in what ever you choice is. Just match the bait to the water conditions.

I love fishing by myself. You just haven't lived until you hook a fish while on the oars with no help. I've done plenty of 360's and slammed into the bank - but somehow that all doesn't matter of the fish is netted! My boat has a few scars.
