Launched at The Fishery Saturday morning.Half a dozen shakers, a couple in the 41" range, One 54" keeper, and two 8 footers, one of which did a great leap on its first run!! Eel and smelt seemed to be the trick of the day. My neighbor made only his second trip in a month. 49" on his first trip and he got the 54" on Saturday. I think he's hooked!!!!

what time did you put in and was the Fishery very crowded. I guess what im trying to ask is, does one have to spend the night waiting in line? Also would like to know how far you gotta go, up or down river. I have 300' of anchor rope with one of those fancy pullers, is that enough for a 15.5' tri hull?

Hey Phuny. Launched at 7:30a.m. No line, maybe 10-12 boats in a one mile stretch from The Fishery downriver. Fished about 1/4 mile downriver from the launch. 300' of rope and a rocker anchor is all you need. Make sure you drop your anchor well above the hole you want to fish. Use an anchor bouy for safety. I'm going sgsin on Sat., stop by and say hello(20' unpainted Alumaweld Sled).

15'6" Trihull,? pick your days carefully, if the wind kicks up be ready to call it quits and beat feet back to dock...the nose of the Tri hulls sometimes noses into wind generated waves...not good..fish the edges of current and slackwater....good luck...

OK,
I here a lot about The Fishery, but I am but a novice Sturgeon Fisherman. I spend the most of my time in the Estuary during the summer, and At Longview during the winter, with an occasional trip up to Trojan.
So, where is The Fishery exactly?
Will my 19' Fiberglass Cuddy Cabin maxum handle the water up there?
I see I might need a rocker type anchor vs. a sand anchor. And it looks like a lot more anchor line is required.
What are the current water conditions like up there?
Any secret bait? Smelt? Roll Mop?
Thanks for the input
