Had a good day. Monday night when we got there, it was 30 mph winds and lots o waves. Tuesday morning things had died down alot, still a little chop, but managable. By 10 a.m. things had settled down real nice. Put 7 walleye in the boat between 3 & 5 pounds. Caught a few smallmouth and a couple of perch too.
Had fun, we'll be doing that again!! :clap:

They have been catching fish all spring. You should find good conditions...a little more flow than normal though. Expect to pull into more protected waters than normal for this time of year.

I have talked about going up there to fish for walleyes for years but have yet to make it up there. I think I may have just found an excuse to get me off my butt and do it.

Way to go C.Catcher! Wish it weren't so far and gas $$ so high. Have never fished that far up river.

We used small spinners, double hook worm set ups.
Seemed to do the trick. Started are down river drift in 40 feet of water up onto a shelf in 16 feet. Most of the fish were hooked just as we came to the top of the shelf. We also used bottom walkers to keep from snagging up in the rocks.
