Sorry for the late report. I didn't want to post before I had the pics. Fishing was slow at least for my wife and I. Spent about 15 hours on the water and only had 2 fish to show for it. Both fish were caught in the wood on 4inch black and blue Senko. The only one I caught was a 12inch lmb(pic 1). My wife on the other hand caught her personal best largemouth a nice 3.7lber. It gave her a nice fight as it wrapped around a log, then the trolling motor, and then finally into the weeds. but she took her time and stayed with. I was very proud of her.

The fish were on there beds as you can see in the pics of her fish the tail was nice and sore.

We heard reports of fish still on there beds deep in the grass by the wood. The people camped next to us caught a 4lber and were suprised to find it full of eggs when they cut her open. Poor fish.

Bassinator,

Looks like you had better luck then I did so why would you want to fish where I was?

Anyhow, I will put up two pics tomorrow that should give you an idea of exactly where we were fishing.

Bassinator,

I hope these pics help you figure out where I was because I suck at explaining it. The water was 2 to 3 feet deep. I was looking for the fish that were moving off of there beds. The way I figured it they had to go from the grass to the wood before they could make it to the deeper water, so I just fished the heavy cover of the wood in the early mornings. Watch for the stumps that are just below the water line or you might loose your prop.
