They are recycling springers on the Trask, and I guess it's almost easy to catch them, even on flies in some popular spots, right now.
During this time when they recycle, they are seemingly very agressive. They recycled 260 last week and 150 plus three steelies this week. (Two days ago.)
Memaloose was just like a monster with the water boiling with them. Bill drove up and said "Whoa!" and went to ODFW to find out what was up.
Just thought I'd drop this news here on the fly board for those wanting a chance to catch a salmon on a fly.
Go get 'em! Tracy says that they have only had 10 return to the hatchery. They are wire tagged.
If you get one, be sure to turn the tag in, please.
