hello, I am taking my step dad out for his bachelor party and am going to take him to the upper columbia for some fishing. Don't know what to go for or what to use. If anyone can suggest anything it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ifishers!

By upper Columbia, are you talking just below Grand Coulee Dam? Or around Wenatchee, or down by Vantage?

I was wondering the same thing...or somewhere else?

My thoughts, too. "Upper Columbia" could be Canada, depending on your definition. If you have a boat, the pilings of the I-90 bridge at Vantage produce Smallmouth. There's other areas, but there's also a huge bar out in the middle of the river south of the bridge, and lots of folks hit it. The edges should produce fish. On the East shore down by Hwy.22, there's a creek mouth that should produce fish. The old roadbed crosses North of I-90 a mile or so, and should also hold fish. You can use the old road for a launch ramp, but it's a shallow angle, plus there's not much parking. :passout: C&R, Steve

I was thinking somewhere not too far past the bonni. I do have a boat. We did not go, but would like to know of good spots. Thanks for the help!

That'd be mid-Columbia.
