I used this lure to catch a 2.9 lb (according to my digital scale) LMB at Hagg lake a few years ago (it was around 18" long). I hope the pic worked. I realize that to some this is not all that big - but to me it was BIG (still my biggest). Sorry, but I don't have a pic of the fish (I didn't have a digital camera at the time).

Its a rattler that sinks slowly. I retrieved it a few feet and the let in sink - then bam!

OK the pic didn't work - I'll try again
Yipee - there's the lure

Ha, Bad wood! I lost a LM about 5 1/4 pounds right at my hand tonight on a Senko about exactly that color. I broke a five fish in a row string of getting one big fish each time I take my family swimming at Hagg (started last summer). Just lost one around 6 3/4 out of Cape Mears so I really suck right now. Roger, never get tired of those pictures. Great fish great pics- awesome. Dave

I think for a bass to be called big it would have to be four pounds pluss for a L.M. bass and 3.5 lbs for a S.M. bass. It's just me! for some people a 12 inch bass is big.
I like all bass but the big bass are much more fun!
Keep fishing pitch you will get that ol girl this fall!!!!

This is not a Oregon Bass but it is my personal best. It was not caught and released it was caught and mounted.

It was 13.5 pounds and I caught it at Lake Murray in San Diego split shotting a Zoom baby brush hog in the june bug color.

http://www.ifish.net/gallery/data/500/medium/LMB13_5.jpg

I caught & released this one in the San Diego river on a 5 inch senko blue black with chartruse flake.

It depends on how far you want to drive? When I was living in the Bay Area I always liked fishing at Lake Amador for Bass. I know it's fairly close to Sacramento.

The 13.5 I caught fishing off the bank in the middle of July. I was just blind casting a point when I got bit.

The other fish was in my Float tube flipping the tules with the Senko.

I have caught a number of fish in the 9 to 10 pound range in Murray but I let them all go and did not own a digital camera at the time. Most of those fish were caught on a baby brush hog or a Senko.

I have fished Dixon and there are some real hogs there as well as in Murray. It is well documented that there are a handful of lakes in San Diego that most likely have the world record in them. Dixon,Jennings,Poway,Miramar,Wolferd and Murray.

Nope pitchnboy, it's a public access pond with very little pressure on bass fishing. There are tons of them in the Mid-Willamette valley. Look for ponds stocked with "put and take" trout and a healthy bullfrog population. If there are bass in it, they will be big healthy pigs...
