Has anyone recently in the last year fished these lakes?
I have read the old posts and they say the bass populations have deminished.
I am wondering if this is still the case?
I don't understand why they would diminish unless it was just hammered by fisherman keeping all there catch

Anyhow it looks and sounds like prime bass land, anyone know anything about it?

Just a couple problems with the lakes recently that I know of. First thing is they no longer flush it from the top end. There is an inlet on the east end that I was told they no longer use. The only fresh water it gets is rain. The other problem is that it went nearly dry just a few years back. While the water was real low some people went in there with nets. I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together and figure where most the fish went. Maybe if we get another flood like 96 we'll see things rebuild themselves. Unfortunately, I think the industrial area around there is growing so fast that decision about that area will be money based not environmental or recreational.
My son caught a 5lbs LMB out of there but it has been 5-6 years ago. I've heard of bigger but never saw them. Last time I fished it the carp seemed to have the run of the place.

So dumd ass people and money hungry industry have destroyed a nice place to fish. What a wonderful world this is.
You know there are too many idiots that like fishing!!!!
Like the ones who scooped the bass in the nets and the ones who leave trash at all the spots. It makes me sick!
