The former managing Partner of the Eye Practice where I work (I'm an Optician as well as a Pastor) has asked me to do a Fly Fishing Seminar for Eye Doctors at a continuing education meeting at Eagle Crest. In addition to a nice get-away for my wife and I at a great Resort, he has arranged for a local guide to take me and another of his friends on a guided trip the next day. Tough duty, but someone needs to do it! I'm looking forward to it. Most of my experience and exterptise revolves around Steelhead fly fishing. I know very little about Central oregon.

Central Oregon has lots of diverse flyfishing opportunities. Lakes with huge rainbow or brown trout, bull trout, atlantic salmon, even flyfishing for bass in lakes or rivers. Rivers with browns, and native redbands.

Hard to say what you should expect without knowing more about where. If you're headed to Bend and to meet a guide, they might choose the day before based on what's fishing best.

We'll love to hear your report.
