I am familiar with two good ways to catch large mouth bass.
Take a long shanked salmon size hook, bend the hook partway and place a live nightcrawler on the hook. Above the hook place about 8 green and yellow beads alternating at the top of the beads, place a gold with green tip spinner blade. The bent hook will make the worm spin in a helicopter like action which will make it look live. The spinner blade of course gives the bass a heads up. The other way is to pull a small real crawdad behind this same blade combo.
