Not a bad story about Bud Hartman in the morning Oregonian. I was glad to see that he and Marcia are still around. I knew them way back when and they always were helpful and friendly. I remember when the Oregon Bass and Panfish Club met at Foster's Sporting goods at 82nd and Powell.

Bud has always been a good fisherman but I have seen Marcia beat him on occasion.

Naming a pond for the Hartmans and also for the Websters (on Sauvies island) is a wonderful thing to have happen. They deserve the naming. :applause:

I thought it was a good story, I don't know the "Guru" of green fishes as he is called, but it sounds like he knows his stuff. The man has some fishing time under his belt for sure :applause: :applause:

It was odd seeing a picture of a non-dead bass in the oregonian.

When have you ever seen a picture of a DEAD bass in The Oregonian? I may have run some, but it's rare enough I don't remember...oh wait, there was the youngster with the record smallmouth from Hagg Lake and the record largemouth from Springfield...should we not run the records, either?

Anyway, point is, I try to not run them as routinely as kids with big salmon, trout, etc...
