Any Barney Reservoir Reports

Barney seems like a nice place to beat the heat, paddling around in a float tube etc.

Any thoughts on how it might be fishing, especially in the summer months?

I would love to glean some advice on this res. also but it seems to be a very tight lipped deal. I have scouted it to see if I could get my DB in from the bank somewhere and was disappointed to find out that I can't. I fished a bit from the bank and didn't see any fish follow my offerings. I did see one swirl but there was no hatch coming off so, you know how that goes. I agree that this seems like a great place to try and beat the heat.

I fished it a couple of times. Once with my toon boat and once from the bank. I caught some fish but it wasn't great. There was a family of otters up there a couple of yrs ago. I have been to the lake a number of times while working.

Not very well in the summer months, the gate is now closed and locked. I can't blame them. There were enough people camping under signs that said no camping, with camp fires in the no camping area. Now it is locked out till probably October. Like I said, I can't blame them with the 4th here.
