VERY tough day for us yesterday. Not even any shakers by noon or so. It wasn't until we parked within the fishy aura of the Slutgoddess that we put our three shakers in the boat, one 41". That was for FIVE poles. By 2:30 the water went slack and we called it quits. Lots of boats at the mouth but not much catching from what we could see... Joe

Hey Joe, was Jettboat Bill just shakin' things up down there or did a keeper sniff him out?

Jettboat had a tough day also... 5 shakers...It just was a slow day for us. Nice to see Joe and his crew. We had a great day and a lot of fun. Jimmy on my boat was snagged hopelessly and when it broke it off he took a head dive on the floor and my crew and Joes crew laffed our butts off. What a thud!
Must admire Salmonator....he don't rest...he moves often. The way a good Sturgeon fisher should.

Hey Bill, if ya had me out there you would have had at least 6 shakers, if ya know what I mean http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I fished for K Pt. area sturgeon with Joe a few weeks ago and he does move it! The first couple anchorups were 'nobody home' and he didn't sit around waiting for the fish to spend all day trying to find his bait from across the river like a lot of fishers do. On our 3rd anchorup we were into them right away. Only one nice keeper but we hooked lots of shakers including a couple of 41 inchers. Fun!

Hey Slutman,
Are you sure nobody tripped little Jim when he did the face-plant? I recall while coming across the bay in the Gulf of AK that one of your good buddies would sneak up behind and squeeze a wet sponge over little Jim’s head every time we would hit a wake. I’ll never forget the look of puzzlement on his face when we arrived at the dock and he was the only one wet. Poor guy.
BTW I forwarded your last e-mail to the horse man.

SS,
Jimmy was on the receiving end of a large amount Crap all day. He did manage to fall on his face without help from anyone. No body tried to catch him.....we all jumped out of the way and started laughing....and then verbal abuse begain. Lesson learned was not to have your feet together while lifting the rod up to brake off 80# Tuff-Line. Lucky he did not break the rod! Fortunatly, damage to his face was an improvement to it!
