This is a great site! I have been driftboating the Tillamook rivers for the last 30 years and enyoy sharing info with fellow fisherman. Let's hope this rain continues so we can go fishing. Anything happening in tidewater?

Welcome Rags,

With 30 years of drift boat experience on the Tillamook streams I'm sure your knowledge will come in real handy on this bulletin board. And of course we'll be all ears to read your fishing reports, favorite drifts, techniques and other ideas you've got on fishing. Just go ahead and share whenever and as often as you can!!! :-)

On behalf of everyone here, I'd like to thank you in advance for your upcoming fishing reports. It's really part of the initiation for new members. If this was up to me I'd through the idea out. I don't know, maybe RT started this tradition........who knows for sure. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Of course, it's also mandatory to have a sense of humour with a little tongue in cheek.

Don't forget during intiation you have to tell three of your favorite spots with detailed directions on how to get there and how to fish it. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif If you don't feel comfortable with that just email them to me http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Welcome to a really great group of folks, Rags. I'm relatively new to the board also, but have nearly fell out of my chair reading some of the "stuff" on this thing. I've been beating the banks of the Tillamook rivers for 18 years now, so I'm sure I saw you go by at some point.

As for tidewater, haven't heard much. Last trip I made off the bank on the Trask slough was deader'n a rat! Went to Trask yesterday, nothing but dark fish at Cedar creek area that we saw (course it's what you don't see that usually counts). Sounds like the lower Wilson may have been a better bet.

I will give everyone a complete update as I am fishing 4 days this week. As far as secret holes or drifts, they don't exist anymore. Good eggs, rags and lots of patience works everytime.

Hey Rags any ideas on where to puchase bulk foam for those rags. The best I have found is a blue closed cell foam.

Hey rags welcome aboard. Good name for a moniker. Some of the biggest Steelhead I've caught have been on rags. Do you have a favorite color combination that you like to use on the coast rivers? Good luck fishing this week. I'll be down there too.
