For those who are interested in a vacuum sealer,Bi Mart has them for 99.95 it's name is Food Saver.

I bought mine off of ubid.com for $45 brand new with bags. Love it works great I have sealed everything but the cat (she won;t stay in the bag) http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Fish_on, don't do smelt with your vacuum sealer unless you put a folded up paper towel at the mouth of the bag. Made that mistake once and it sucked all the smelt slime in and was a real peach to clean out. Don't remember where I got mine, sportsman's show or something like that.

i though i would keep the air off my eggs insteadi got some heay milking eggs what a bummer a whole bag juiceless eggs. damm

Lol... hey dummy you need to freeze the eggs first if you do them in bags. Should make for some great chum slicks with those juiceless eggs.

As for them eggs! I vac pak them in a glass mason jar ( I use the jar attachment with my foodsaver pro II ) then place them in the freezer. When I need eggs I open a jar and put them into a ziploc bag. By far the best and cleanest way I've found to keep eggs.
