anybody know any knots that hold the jigs in the correct position. i use the poly knot and leave the loop behind the head this does the trick but i question the strength. thanks

The old reliable improved cinch knot is always reliable. And it also can be moved behind the eye to give the jig a more level presentation. Many prefer the palomar for speed. I don't know about you guys but the new flourocarbon lines for leaders are nasty for knots. I was fishing for chumlies with the 12 lb. and it just snapped time and again at the knot no matter how you wet it or tied it. It could not take the shock load, it is probably fine for most fish however. I switched back to the reliable Izor and never experienced another breakoff except from line chafe.
I've used the Improved clinch knot for years when fishing jigs and never had any problems. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
