Hit something out in the river this weekend, took a good chunck out of my prop, should I replace it? Also, what happens if that fin below the prop gets some chunks taken out of it? Is it a big deal, should I file it down?
Thanks, any sugestions would help

I'd fix or replace that prop. And the skeg, smooth it out a bit and it will be fine.

I'd buy a new one, then send that one in to get fixed.. that way you have a back up.

It depends...

Is that on your kicker or your main motor?

That's the main motor Suk. 140

Yeah if you don't get it fixed you will have so much vibration that it will destroy the bearings in the lower unit. I'm with Lepper, get a new one and have this fixed for a spare.

Take it to Maritime Mobile at 63rd and St Johns. Mike will have it back to you inside 2 weeks, good as new, about 50 bucks.
I have had 3 done so far, outstanding work.

Yep, get a new one. The blade is starting to burn. It's from bubbles wearing away the aluminum. Eventually it will shear off the blade completely. It comes from a banged up blade. DON'T run anymore on that prop in its' current condition!

Use it as a spare after you get it fixed.
