I have a Mercury 200 with a pump that is two cycle. I have been running Quiksilver Premium Plus as the oil. Is there a difference with it and just Quiksilver Premium? I also have a gallon of bulk oil that I got from a marine dealer. Is it okay to mix this oil with the Quiksilver? Thank you.

You can mix the oils you are describing without any problems. Synthetics are when you can have issues.

Just make sure they are rated TCW-3 and they will be compatible

use the oil recommended by the manufacturer for your engine!

I've used whatever is cheapest for years and have had no trouble.

I use Wal-Mart's brand of 2 cycle oil. The "marine" stuff in the white bottle is cheaper than the "outboard" oil in the blue one, and they are both TCW-3. $7 a gallon or something like that.
Some people get a warm and fuzzy feeling buying the more expensive stuff, I'm not one of them. Most of the name brands can be bought on sale for $15-$20 a gallon.

Whatever brand of oil you use, it is always adviseable to run ring free additive along with it in any 2 stroke. Keeps deposits at a minimum.

premimium plus had a few additives that regilar qick silver doesnt. I dont think it amounts to anything.
Considering what I paid for the boat, there is no way I would go cheap on oil.
Ring free is a great additive that should be used.
