Quick question.
Are there any modifications to soup up a 60 hp merc (2005) 4 strk.
The reason I am asking, is that my boat is bigger and heavier than first anticipated (when i got the motor).
I'd like to tweak it for as much umph as possible

look at APBA site and do search on racing parts, Merc performance MAY have some stuff..but..it is not going to be cheap and you may loose low end grunt. Look into 4 blade or diff props first.
Good luck

If that is the case, I will just be happy to go less than mach 10

Anything can be pumped up if money is no object.
Back in my machinst days it was "Cubic dollars" and "How fast can you afford to go?"

There is really no good way to do it.The problem comes from the exhaust. You are going out through the lower unit and it is allready at its max. you can't move anymore air through it.Like a motorcycle you can change pipes and cams but it can't move anymore air witk your stock lower unit. The racers have a whole different setup
