I'm looking at Fuel management systems and it seems like the Navman 2100 is well liked. The issue I'm having is that the instructions say its only for carbed motors.
If they aren't supposed to work with fuel injection, how are some of you using them with EFI motors?

they work for FI motors that do not have a return line to the tank ( for example, most volvo penta systems). They do not work if you have a fuel return line to the tank ( like the MPI engines in most jetboats)

I tried to get a Navman but couldn't find anyone that carries them any more. The word out on the street is that Navman is a dying breed in the arena of flow meters. So, I went with the Lowrance LMF-200 with an EP-10 sensor. $149 and about a 30 minute install. I don't believe there are any restrictions for use with fuel injected motors. You can use it independantly or connect it your NMEA2000 data communication system.

Floscan says:
Fits Mercruiser and Volvo EFI engines.
Fits all Mercury Optimax and Evinrude Ficht engines. Fits all EFI outboard engines.
Fits all carbureted gas inboard, outboard, and stern drive engines.
*Note: Does not fit certain EFI engines with fuel return line that is connected directly to the fuel tank. This includes Crusader and Marine Power EFI engines.
As above, they all should work with any engine having a single line from tank to motor.

A couple weeks I purchased a Navman 2100 with transducer on an auction site for $125, new in box. It worked great for an hour anyway... Then the motor let go. This is on an outboard.
