1996 Yammi T9.9 Water Pump

I need to inspect, and replace if necessary, the water pump in my Yammi T9.9 kicker. Is it typical of other outboards? (pull the lower unit and the impeller goes over the drive shaft). Any trick to it or anything to be aware of?

Pretty simple. The main thing to watch is the shift linkage- double nutted rod that connects the upper and lower shift linkages. I have a repair manual you can borrow if you want.

thanks for the offer!! I might take you up on it. I just picked up a new impeller, but don't know for sure if I need it yet. I'm going to look at the motor tonight to see if I can get the water moving. If not and I get into a bind, I'll give you a shout. Thanks!
