Has anyone been fishing either Detroit, Big Cliff, or Green Peter Reservoirs lately? How has the fishing been? Trout? Kokanee? Lures? Depths?

Well, my boat is a rubber raft with a trolling motor, so I can pretty much launch anywhere I can get to the water.

Detroit is usually pretty good this time of year (haven't been there since spring!) - much less water, same number of fish ... easier to find 'em. And they're pretty fat, too, having had the whole season to learn to eat "real food".
Launching the boat, now there can be the challenge.

A freind fished Detroit lake a couple days ago and slaughtered the fish. The weren't getting much action running the typical ford fender/wedding ring combo so they beached the boat and went fishing near the south shore campgrond and started casting spinners and they knocked them dead. I understand that the flourescent mepps and rooster tails were the best choice. A couple split shot to get some depth and they were in them. I might try it this weekend? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
