Does anyone have any good information regarding Chinook fishing on the Wilson, Trask, Nestucca, Siletz or Alsea? Which are boatable with a 8' pram or small driftboat and might produce some Chinook?

I will be coming down to the coast this weekend and plan on staying someplace around Newport. I don't mind driving a ways from Newport and I am familiar with the Wilson, Nestucca, and Alsea rivers.

Any help would be appreciated, since I have yet to get down to the coast to check conditions myself.

Thanks,

I floated the Trask on Sunday and had to walk a couple riffles with a 16 foot drift boat. Just not enough water to get over/around the rocks without walking the boat. From Lorens Drift (just below hatchery) to Hwy 101 is a very easy stretch of water to navigate. As far as fish, I couldnt find em. Not sure they were even there to be found.
