Does anybody know how the sandy river is doing?
Mark Bauchman reports that it is clearing. Hope for winter steelhead season!

Fished the Sandy at Cedar Creek on Saturday. Plenty of dark fish. I also caught what I thought was a Winter Steelhead. Beautiful bright 6lb fish. An expert in my office said it was a Summer Steelhead because of the red cheek and faint pink stripe down the length of the fish. I have a digital picture if you would like me to email to you.

Fished the Sandy yesterday at the mouth of/and below Cedar Creek. 2 - 2 1/2 ft. visability. Water close to a foot lower than last week. Very few fish rolling or moving up. I caught two dark bucks on spinners and saw one other caught on eggs(10-12 people fishing). Last Thursday was the last productive day for fish worthy of keeping according to several people I talked to. Lots of limits taken then. Season ends tonight for Chinook and Coho on the Sandy.
