....other than chowder and fried clams?

Don't get me wrong. I love clam chowder and clam fritters, but I'd love to try something new with them.

Try smoking them for about 30-45 minutes in a little chief using one pan of chips,no need to brine em, they came out of the salt. Let em cool overnight, make an alfredo sauce and go light on the garlic,,,,,cook up some fettucini or angel hair, cut up the clams and add to the sauce, slather it all over the pasta, and prepare to gorge yourself. Gotta be one of the best ways yet to eat the critters. But,,,,,I still like em fried fast and hot,,,,just my dr. doesn't like it. Secret I learned when I first came here, a local lady sprinkles the necks with Adolf's unseasoned meat tenderizer, and leaves em in the fridge overnight in a a tupperware tray. She rinses em and preps em in panko and rice flour, then freezes them in vac seal bags. Take em out one at a time and fry em up,,,,,super delicious.

I cooked some up on kabobs sort of like chicken with BBQ sauce and baked them for about 30 min at 375. Turned out to be a party favorite. Just cut them into bite size chunks and string them up. A sweet chili sauce also works well.

cheers to beers :yay: :yay:

I learned this from a long-time commercial clammer. He called it his low-tide breakfast favorite, Clambled Eggs. Dice up a medium clam for every two eggs you scramble. Add 1/4 cup milk for every two eggs. Salt and pepper to taste. You can even add garlic or your favorite spice. Mix all together and put into a med-hot skillet. Cook like you would regular scrambled eggs. The clams cook at about the same rate as the eggs so it should all be done at the same time.

Tasty

Thanks for the clambled eggs idea. I tried it and it was excellent. Based on your tip, I want to try a Clam, Ham, and cream cheese omelet with some tobasco in the eggs. Now that sounds good.

Clam bake. The ladies love it because it's baked and low fat. Here it is. Prepare a bowl of crushed saltines and or stove top stuffing (are they a sponsor?) then take your cleaned clams dip them in egg then in the cracker mix. Prepare a 9x9 baking pan by oiling the bottom with EVVO. Add clams. Season to taste. If you want in the last few minutes of the 30 min bake add some white cheese such as parm or guda to the top. Temp about 375.
