They headed out of Garibaldi May 11 with conditions of light wind and drizzel. Not bad.
Got there in no time. Had trouble 1 hour in with the line wrapped around the prop. Tom got on the survival suit and jumped in to cut the line away, not advisable when the currents were up and down. Couldn't get close to the prop, got back on board and made a make shift long handle knife and proceded to cut the line away from the prop. It worked.
Next came the root waud of line they hooked into, what a mess. It took a long time to get rid of that mess. Lost alot of time.
Then the guys got into doubles rather quickly when the problems were worked out. The motors worked great no problems. All together they caught 10 Halibut kept limits of 6. The butts were kinda small. No big ones.
Home by 4:30.
Done fishing by 2:30pm :food:
